Role Overview

Lead a high-growth sales team within a top fintech payments provider, focusing on financial intermediaries like PSPs and neo-banks. Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll drive business development, shape strategy, and achieve ambitious revenue goals in the institutional markets.

 

Responsibilities

Management

  • Define clear targets and KPIs, ensuring tools, training, and processes empower performance.
  • Communicate expectations and provide feedback through 1:1s and reviews.
  • Allocate workloads, hire talent, and resolve issues to deliver results.
  • Foster engagement, reward excellence, and create a thriving team environment.
  • Champion team members’ career development.

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop tailored sales strategies for financial intermediaries.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and client needs to refine approaches.
  • Forecast sales and manage pipelines for consistent target achievement.

Client Acquisition and Engagement

  • Lead efforts to acquire new financial intermediary clients with customized propositions.
  • Promote consultative selling to highlight solution benefits.

Sales Operations

  • Optimize CRM use for lead and opportunity management.
  • Report performance insights to leadership, recommending improvements.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Align with Marketing, Product, and Support teams to support business goals.
  • Keep the team updated on product and market developments.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure sales activities comply with financial regulations and company policies.

Product Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of payment and financial solutions.
  • Train the team to address client inquiries effectively.

Business Development

  • Identify strategic partnerships to expand reach, particularly in the CFD sector.
  • Explore new market opportunities within the UK.

Budget Management

  • Allocate sales budgets to maximize ROI.
  • Control expenses to balance growth and profitability.

Innovation and Improvement

  • Collect feedback to enhance products, services, and processes.
  • Encourage innovative sales approaches to stay competitive.

 

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in high-performance sales teams within financial services or payments.
  • Experience selling to regulated financial institutions with knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and developing new business.
  • Strong understanding of currency markets, hedging, and international payments.
  • Strategic thinker with market analysis and commercial modeling skills.
  • Collaborative, results-driven, and adaptable under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
